SPAGHETTI AGLIO OLIO

whewww... blogspot with a new look this morning! I am pretty surprised! Walhal less than 10 hours ago, I was still updating my blog with their old look... teraba-raba juga pada mulanya, but I am a quick learner kan... hehehe...

haishh... maka macam bakal menjadi blog resipi la plak blog aku ini... huhu.. macam yang aku tulis kat post sebelum nie, today I brought Spaghetti Aglio Olio as my tapau to office. I haven't eaten it for more than a month memandangkan sambutan di rumah agak kureng... Mr Z x suke sangat..anak2 ok jerr... but aku nak juga buat...for utk Mr Z aku tambahkan cheesy sauce while I stick to the original recipe :-)

Jom tengok gambar dulu...ini gambar lama la.. gambar Prawn Aglio Olio... this was my first attempt last year...and sangat sedap (memuji diri sendiri tanpa segan silu sebab memang sedap...tak tipu!)

So... my officemate was asking for the recipe. Aku bagi recipe basic je lah... udang tu boleh di ganti dengan ayam, sotong mahupun daging or sosej... kalau udang, make sure buang dulu kulit dan kepala. But what I did was aku ceraikan kepala dari badan dia and masak sekali..then only I removed the kepala before serve..sebab kepala dia tu mengeluarkan jus menambah kemanisan dan ke'umphhhh'an aglio olio ini ... trust me bebeh...!!! And if you are a strict vegetarian... u may proceed without any animal inside sebab basic ingredient adalah berasaskan tumbuhan sahaja ;-)

OK...here is the recipe:
Fresh Button Mushroom. I loike!

Spaghetti - boiled till al dente. Apa itu al dente? Sila google kalau tatau... :p
Garlic - banyak banyak banyak... this is the key ingredient...if you cooked 500g spaghetti, satu labu bawang putih pun ok. Crushed or cincang sehingga halus.
Onion - potong separa bulatan or ring pun boleh..up to you
Lada merah - buang biji dan cincang halus
Coarsed Blackpepper - tumbuk kasar menggunakan lesung. Don's use serbuk blackpepper. Rasanya tak sama.
Dried oregano leaves - I use McCormick...banyak2 utk lebih terasa herbanya and nice aromatic taste
Virgin Olive Oil - important note! Don't use Extra Virgin Olive Oil because it tends to burn when overheated...tak sedap rasanya dan hilang semua kebaikan nutrisi semulajadi... Extra Virgin sesuai untuk dressing..bukan untuk memasak dan menumis.
Fresh Button Mushroom - this is optional. I never tried using canned mushroom utk aglio olio..kalau x letak pun x pe.
Chicken breast (cut into small pieces) or squids (cut into rings) or medium sized prawns (peeled and remove heads) or sausage (sliced and friedfirst) - optional ikut tekak masing2

McCormick Dried Oregano Leaves


Cara-caranya:
1. Rebus dulu spaghetti al dente
2. Panaskan virgin olive oil, tumis haiwan-haiwan sehingga separa masak.
3. Masukkan finely chopped garlic, tumis and balik-balikkan hingga naik bau tapi jangan sampai hangus!
4. Masukkan bawang besar yang dah dipotong dan lada merah tadi.
5. Masukkan cendawan..goreng dan goreng sehingga layu.
6. Masukkan spaghetti. Kacau sehingga sebati.
7. Add salt to taste.
8. Taburkan coarsed blackpepper dan dried oregano leaves.
9. Padamkan api and tadaa..ready to eat!


Ops! Lupa nak bgtau something ~ untuk menambahkan kesedapan ketika menikmati spagheti ini... taburkan parmesan cheese or if you like it lembik2 cari2 melekat-lekat... cheddar cheese or mozzarella will work wonder as well :)
