A few days back... I was so excited to know that Baskin Robbins (BR) will be giving away free one scoop of ice-cream at all outlets except in Pantai Hospital and Genting Theme Park... wowweee.... free eskrem mahal.. siapa yang tak nak kan? Free plak tu.. I sent my thought to Mr. Z via email dengan pastekan sekali advert yang aku nampak di FB and via email... and my targeted location is Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) since it is the nearest BR to us... which is 5-10 minutes away from home...
The giveaway was supposed to be in conjunction of LCW winning the first Gold Medal in London Olympics 2012 but in the end he only strikes Silver Medal but his spirit does count... so BR tetap memberi eskrem percuma sebagai penghargaan ke atas semangat kesukanan yang jitu dalam jiwa Dato' Lee Chong Wei...
There are quite many outlets in Johor actually... and other than because JPO is the nearest to us, I really thought that kind of place where people not going there everyday to shop..the queue will be moderate... but my guess and kata hati is totally incorrect.. kali ini instinct aku salah 100%...!!!
Me and my family had our iftaar (late iftaar actually due to my managers call up meeting lg 5 minit nak balik yg kesudahan aku ckp dgn dia aku nak balik rumah for buka puasa! - I arrived late at taska hence late iftaar.. sob! sob! sob!) at JPO Food Court... after that, at around 8.15pm or so, we went to the 1st floor to grab our free scoop... BUTTTTT........
Nah! Nah! Nah! Nah! Nah! .... the queue was already from one end to another end! I didn't snap the photo of those people queueing but let me sketch it on JPO Floor Map... I leave it to you guys to imagine...
That blue line indicated how long the queue was. For those yang pernah sampai ke JPO...you will know la kan..and that was at merely 8.15pm tau! Belum lagi 8.30pm.. 9pm... i was wondering.. cukup ke stock? And org kt blkg2 tu .. pkol brp br dapat...??
That is JPO story... beralih pula kita ke Jusco Tebrau City... aku takde shopfloor plan Jusco... google x jumpa.. but untuk yang pernah ke sana.... sure tau lokasi BR kt depan cinema...at 7.30pm..queue was as long as sampai ke depan Watsons yang lokasinya kt Centre Court...and at 8.00pm.. dah sampai ke depan Pizza Hut which is the other end! Pengsan....!!!

Pandangan peribadi aku... itu pilihan masing-masing. Nak queue, queue lah... well for me yang bersuami dan heret anak 3 org nie.. nak queue 2 jam semata nak dapatkan sekon eskrem for each of us.. that's really not worth it la... we have our life commitment... anak nak balik buat homework, aku nak balik buat kerja rumah yang lebih penting... suami nak peri Terawih... mana lagi penting?
Anak dara aku Kak Long mmg a bit dissappointed that we can't get the free ice-cream but I told her... takpe nanti mama gaji kiter gi makan..takperla.. Mama bayar... we have our comfort time together..tak perlu rebut-rebut.. better bagi keselesaan pada anak-anak untuk makan aiskrim walaupun kena bayar... and she was so smart to think that "Ha'ahkan..kalau pergi beli kita boleh pilih mana kita suka.. nie free ntah2 dia bagi je apa yang ada" ... Is it? Aku tak tau..sebab aku x amik yg free tu...betul ke? Ke boleh pilih flavor mana kita nak?
So we end up our mission last night with Peanut & Strawberry Crepe Signature...Mr Z belanja while aku beli Caramel Coffee Ice Blended with Cream from The Coffee Beans & Tea Leaf... takperla.. yang penting we had fun time together as a family.... that value more than a scoop of ice-cream!
